After an investigation involving several Muskegon area police agencies, the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office authorized an arrest warrant for a 31-year-old Muskegon Township man in connection to the May 18, 2014, purse-snatching incident that took place in the Walmart parking lot (1879 E. Sherman in Fruitport Township).
The suspect had been taken into custody by another local police agency on unrelated charges on May 21, 2014. The subject had remained in the Muskegon County jail since that arrest. Investigators worked throughout the week on the investigation and concluded the investigation on May 24, 2014.
Arrest warrants were issued on May 24, 2014, for the suspect. The warrant was issued for unarmed robbery with increased potential penalty for being a habitual offender.
