Officers Investigating a pair of Armed Robbery Crimes. 
The Norton Shores Police Department is investigating two armed robbery incidents which occurred in less than an hour and two miles from each other.
On May 21, 2014 at 12:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to Ozzies Party Store, 1354 E Broadway Ave, Norton Shores in reference to an attempted armed robbery. The victim, an employee of the store, was confronted in the parking lot by a young Hispanic male wearing a light colored hoodie, a black bandana over his face, who pointed a hand gun at him and demanded money. The suspect fled in a silver Chevy Blazer after the victim told him he didn’t have any money. The victim believed that there was a second subject in the vehicle.
On May 21, 2014 at 12:54 a.m., officers were dispatched the Shell gas station, 4185 Grand Haven Road, Norton Shores in reference to an armed robbery. The clerk advised that a white male, pale skin, 5’10” tall, 160-170 lbs., skinny building, wearing a grey zip-up hoodie, black baseball hat, white bandana w/ black markings over his face, black jeans, black shoes and black leather gloves entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded that he place money from the cash register in a bag. After the clerk complied, the suspect fled eastbound on Airport Road in a tan Chevy Blazer.
