Possible Scam 
On May 12, 2014, the Davis Police Department was notified of a possible internet scam that has reached Davis. The sender purports to be from the New York State Attorney's Office in Amenia, NY and demands restitution payments. Attached within the email is what appears to be an arrest warrant for the recipient sent by "Todd Jefferson." The Davis Police Department has contacted the Sheriff's Office in Amenia and verified that this is an ongoing internet scam and that there is no State Attorney's Office located in that town.
