The LAPD is hosting a Community Police Academy (English speaking) beginning on June 12, 2014. The academy runs for eight consecutive Thursdays from 6-9pm. It is held at the Davis Training Facility, in the Bomb Squad Training Room in Granada Hills. The academy provides an opportunity for the community to learn how the Department operates, handles investigations, become familiar with various specialized units and to get a chance to listen to and meet several Department Captains.
