5/4/14, press release: Assault and Robbery

The Burlington Police Department is investigating an assault and robbery that occurred on Saint Paul Street near Kilburn Street on May 4, 2014 at approximately 1720 hours. The victim had a brief verbal altercation with three males in a newer model silver Kia Sephia at the intersection of South Union Street and Saint Paul Street. The victim continued north on Saint Paul Street when he observed the vehicle pull up behind him at which time a male got out brandishing a knife. The victim was forced to turn over his backpack and cash to the male suspect. The male suspect then returned to the vehicle and it was last seen driving north on Saint Paul Street.

The suspect is described as white male, approximately 19 or 20 years old, wearing black jeans and grey Nike sweat shirt, short buzzed dark colored hair, peach fuzz around his chin, acne on his cheeks, and a small hoop earring in his left ear with a stud above it. The suspect has the word “FAMILY” tattooed in Old English style lettering approximately 1 inch high on the left side of his neck.

The operator is described as an African American male in his late twenties, goatee with gray hairs in it, blue base ball hat LA Dodgers logo on it.

The male in the front passenger seat is described as clean cut young white male, plain white T-shirt, faded jeans and “Justin Bieber” styled hair.
