GTPD Media Release: ATV Sweep For Illegal Riding Leads To Arrest For Drug Possession And Distribution

One adult and one juvenile were arrested after officers observed them consuming marijuana in a wooded area behind the Woods Edge development off of Cross Keys Road in Gloucester Township, NJ. 

Officers working an ATV enforcement detail, came upon Joshua Mecough of the first block of Berkshire Drive, Sewell, NJ and a 17 year old Juvenile male as they were smoking marijuana in a wooded area that is frequented 
by ATV riders. Further investigation revealed that they were in possession of approximately 1/2 pound of marijuana that was packaged in several individuals bags. Both were transported to the Gloucester Township 
Police Department where they were processed and released pending a future court date.

Arrest: 1. Joshua Mecough Berkshire Drive Sewell NJ Age: 18 
Charges: Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS over 50 Grams, Use and Under the Influence of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Arrest: 2. 17 Year Old Male. 
Charges: Possession of CDS Under 50 Grams, Use and Under the Influence of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
