Pomona Police Department Bicycle Rodeo
On Saturday, April 26th from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM, the Pomona Police Department will be hosting its annual Bicycle Safety Rodeo. This event will take place at the Pomona Civic Center, 505 South Garey Avenue. The purpose of a bicycle safety rodeo is to teach children the importance of seeing, being seen and remaining in control of their bicycle while riding it at all times. This will be achieved through a series of bicycle handling drills and the simulation of traffic situations. Children ages 3-10 are encouraged to join.
Pomona Police Officers will be behind a BBQ, grilling up lunch for every child who participates. In addition, there will be a K9 demonstration and other displays. Bicycle inspections will be available and minor repairs made. At the conclusion of the event, we will be raffling away two brand new children's bicycles.
If you are interested in this event and need more information, please call Pomona Police Traffic Services Bureau at 909-620-2081.
