On 4/23/2014 at approximately 12:50 pm, Deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Sonoma County Central Disposal Site, 500 Mecham Rd. Petaluma, Ca. for a report of a deceased subject.
Employees at the Central Disposal Site contacted Sonoma County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 12:50 hrs to report they had found a deceased subject in a debris pile. Furthermore, due to the location of the subject they advised that the subject possibly came in on a transfer truck from the Healdsburg area.
Detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Investigations and Coroner’s units responded to the scene and after conducting a preliminary investigation found no indication of foul play in the death.
The name of the deceased, a 39 year old white male, is not being released until such time as next of kin can be notified.
An autopsy of the deceased is scheduled for Friday morning.
This death is still under investigation by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Violent Crimes Investigations Unit.
