Avoid OAKTON and RIVERSIDE/ALGONQUIN RDs. E/B Oakton is closed at River Rd. (Des Plaines) N/B Riverside is closed at Virginia (Park Ridge) and S/B Algonquin is closed at Swabe (Des Plaines)

A vehicle crash at Oakton and Riverside has damaged power poles at that location and will require a detour of traffic for the next 12-16 hours. Currently, only W/B Oakton is open at Riverside/Algonquin.

North/South traffic should use River Rd, Dee Rd. or Greenwood, to avoid Talcott/Riverside/Algonquin Rd.
East/West traffic should use Dempster Rd. or Touhy Av. to avoid the area.

Any traffic W/B on Oakton should expect significant delays, during the repair process due to the traffic signals being out.
