Burglary
Location: 2400 Block of Gallup Drive
An unknown suspect broke into a garage on the 2400 block of Gallup Drive and stole items from the vehicles that were parked inside. The whereabout and identity of the suspect remain unknown.

Monday, April 14, 2014

Warrant Arrest
Location: Morse Lane and Robinson Avenue
An officer was driving northbound on Morse Lane approaching Robinson Avenue when he saw an adult male kneeling on the sidewalk. The officer contacted the subject who displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of the suspect’s person revealed drug paraphernalia. A Records check confirmed the suspect was on probation and disclosed he had a $25,000 felony warrant out of San Jose. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Traffic Accident – Minor Injury
Location: Alviso Street and Fremont Street
Communications received multiple calls when two vehicles collided in the intersection of Alviso Street and Fremont Street. Responding officers found three subjects inside one vehicle which had overturned. All three individuals required assistance getting out of the car. Injuries were minor in nature, and the traffic unit handled the investigation.

NOTE: The motorcycle unit conducted distracted driving enforcement on Stevens Creek Boulevard and Winchester Boulevard. In under two hours, the officers issued over twenty citations. The U.S. Department of Transportation has named April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month and our officers are partnering with the “U Drive. U Text. U Pay.” campaign.

Grand Theft
Location: 3075 El Camino Real
An officer was dispatched to Lucky's Market parking lot located at 3705 El Camino Real for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim indicated he was in the store for approximately 15 minutes and when he returned he saw that the left rear window to his vehicle had been smashed out and approximately $1,500 of his belongings were stolen. There were no witnesses and the suspect remains at large.

Armed Robbery
Location: 1000 Block of Reeve Street
Two suspects conspired to rob a victim during a marijuana transaction. One of the suspects hit the victim in the head with a firearm during the robbery. Both suspects were later arrested and booked into County jail. The firearm used in the crime was also recovered and booked into evidence.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 700 Block of Park Court
Officers responded to the area of Newhall Street and Linden Drive to locate a suspicious subject in the area. Officers contacted a suspect matching the description who was located in the Burger King parking lot. Although officers could not tie him to the original call on Park Court, a Records check confirmed he had two misdemeanor warrants and was out of compliance with his sex offender registration requirements. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Weapons Arrest
Location: El Camino Real and Lafayette Street
An officer stopped a male suspect for a Municipal Code violation. The suspect identified himself with a medical marijuana card and admitted to having marijuana on her person. A subsequent search for the marijuana and valid identification yielded a firearm inside the suspect’s backpack wrapped in a T-shirt. The handgun was reported stolen out of Arizona.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Drug Arrest
Location: 2200 Block of El Camino Real
Officers went to a motel on the 2200 block of El Camino Real seeking a female known to have outstanding felony warrants. Officers contacted the two persons in the room (one male and one female). A Records check revealed the male suspect was on parole and had a warrant for his arrest. A parole search yielded methamphetamine associated with the female suspect. Both individuals were taken into custody and booked into County jail. The original female known to have warrants was not in the room at the time of the contact.
