PRESS RELEASE: Seeking Assistance in Identifying an Alleged Child Molestation Suspect

The Manhattan Beach Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying an alleged child molestation suspect.

On April 18, 2014, at approximately 1409 hours, a male juvenile walked into the men’s restroom at Polliwog Park alone where he was accosted by the suspect, who forced him into a restroom stall and fondled his genitals.  The victim fled the restroom and reported the incident to a parent.

The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, grey hair, medium build, in his 40’s, wearing a white shirt and dark-colored pants.

Due to the sensitive nature of this crime, the ongoing investigation, and because it involves a minor, no further information will be released at this time.  This incident may be related to a crime that occurred on Wednesday, 04/16/14, in the City of Hermosa Beach.
