On April 17, 2014 at approximately 1:16 PM, Pomona Police Officers located a stolen vehicle, Nissan Xterra, in the 600 Block of West Mission Blvd. The stolen vehicle accelerated away and led officers on a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit remained within Pomona and traveled through the southwest portion of the city. The driver of the stolen vehicle was involved in two separate non-injury collisions during the pursuit. He also swerved his vehicle towards pursuing officers, in a dangerous maneuver, that endangered the officers, the public and himself. On the second collision, the pursued vehicle became disabled and the driver fled on foot. Officers took him immediately into custody.
