HCSO investigators today formally filed three burglary of a habitation charges against Christopher Gomez, 18, (photo attached), including the one on April 5 of a west Harris County home where he was caught on video peering at the family's toddler in a crib.

Bail was set at $100,000 in each. Gomez, who has a prior record including burglary of a motor vehicle, is scheduled for an initial court appearance Monday in the 209th State District Court.

The security video was released by HCSO to the public this week in an attempt to gather tips about the identity and whereabouts of the intruder. While shocking TV and video viewers across the nation and being called "creepy," the publicity did indeed lead to confidential tips to Crime Stoppers of Houston that resulted in Gomez's arrest Thursday night.
