FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EMERGENCY STABILIZATION BUTTRESS WORK BEGINS

Jackson, WY.  Town of Jackson Public Works crews along with private contractors, begin construction of emergency stabilization buttress along Budge Drive.

Town crews and private contractors begin work today on an emergency stabilization buttress along Budge Drive in the Town right of way.  Additional buttress work is planned for the Walgreens parking area should permission be granted from Walgreens to proceed.  Residents will see intermittent closures of the northernmost lane of traffic on Highway 89 to accommodate the heavy equipment.  Incident command intends to bring in fill material to begin the buttress work along Budge Drive, requiring multiple, continuous dump truck traffic this morning and into the coming days as necessary.

Motorists are asked to focus on driving while in the Budge Drive area and minimize distractions due to the additional heavy equipment moving through the area.

Evacuees and employees in need of continued services can contact The Community Resource Center at 739-4500.  Anyone in need of immediate mental health services should call the Community Counseling Center at 733-2046.

Updates will be provided on a daily basis with significant and critical information provided via Nixle alerts as well.  Subscribers can change settings for the types of Nixle messages they receive in account settings.
