FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TOWN CREWS TAKE PUMPHOUSE OFFLINE

Jackson, WY.  Town of Jackson Public Works crews disconnect Budge Drive water pumphouse from Town system.

Due to additional, significant damage overnight, rather than merely disconnecting the water line from the pumphouse to the 12 inch water main in the public right of way, Town crews took the pumphouse offline.  As a result, Budge Drive residences will have significantly reduced pressure but will still have limited water to each unit.

Town crews begin work tomorrow on a stabilization buttress along Budge Drive in the Town right of way.  Additional buttress work is planned for the Walgreens parking area should permission be granted from Walgreens to proceed.

Evacuees and employees in need of continued services can contact The Community Resource Center at 739-4500.  Anyone in need of immediate mental health services should call the Community Counseling Center at 733-2046.

Engineering, geology, and Public Works crews continue to work with George Machan of Landslide Technologies to design and plan the placement of an emergency stabilization buttress.

Updates will be provided on a daily basis with significant and critical information provided via Nixle alerts as well.
