BRIEF NARRATIVE AS TO CIRCUMSTANCES:

Novato Police officers responded to a report of suicidal subject with several firearms, on Alta Vista Court. The victim reported Papka had physically assaulted her, held her against her will, and discharged a firearm inside the residence. The victim was eventually able to flee the residence and met with responding officers. The victim told officers Papka had threatened suicide. Officers who were positioned around the residence confronted Papka when he walked outside of the residence. Papka complied with the officer’s orders and was taken into custody without incident. The victim received minor injuries during the assault. Papka was arrested and booked for the listed charges.
