HPD K9 Teams Take Top Honors
Huntsville, Alabama (April 14, 2014) Sergeant Joe Jenkins with the Huntsville Police Department’s Canine Unit said his canine handlers brought home Top Dog honors from last week’s field trials which were held in Rome, Georgia. The trials are certification events authorized the by the United States Police Canine Association. The following canine handlers received awards during the trials, two of which are top dog honors.
Officer Cory Upton and his K9 Partner Boone
Top Dog Cup Patrol Dog, Overall number 1 Top dog, 1st place agility, 1st place apprehension.
Officer William Gray and his K9 Partner C-4
Top Dog Cup Explosives Detection 1st place overall.
Officer Matt Saltzman and his K9 Partner Jaeger
1st Place Patrol Scent (boxes and article search).
