Press Release The Los Angeles Police Department announces an arrest in the weekend murder that occurred near Benedict Canyon.

On Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 3:57 PM, West Los Angeles Police Officers responded to a call of a possible homicide in the 10000 block of Westwanda Drive in Los Angeles' Beverly Crest Neighborhood.

When police officers arrived they conducted a safety sweep of the residence and discovered a male adult victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers established a crime scene.

A Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene. The victim was later identified as 28 year-old Angelo Armani Eppolito-Autry. Eppolito-Autry was found by a co-worker. Residents reported hearing shots fired at about 3:30 PM.
Investigators and surveillance officers worked around the clock and arrested 31 year-old Gerson Sanchez, in Lakewood. Sanchez was a former employee of Eppolito-Autry and the two had an ongoing dispute over money. Sanchez is being held on one million dollars bail and will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
