Possession of Stolen Property
Location: 3300 Block of Princeton Way
An officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on the 3300 block of Princeton Way. The officer located the vehicle and it was occupied by two suspects, one female and one male claiming to be waiting to meet a friend. A Records check revealed both individuals were on probation.

During a search of the vehicle, the officer located several credit/debit cards and checks not in the name of the suspects. There were also several pages of handwritten credit/debit card information with what appeared to be practice signatures, as well as several counterfeit bills and a can of pepper spray. The female suspect was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and booked into County jail.

Drug Arrest
Location: 2500 Block of Moraine Drive
Units responded to a disturbance in a guest house behind the main residence on the 2500 block of Moraine Drive. The guest house was "red tagged" by a City of Santa Clara building inspector and deemed uninhabitable. A male suspect was inside the guest house against the orders of the building inspector, a violation of the municipal code. He was also under the influence of and in possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Burglary
Location: 3300 Block of Cecil Avenue
An officer was dispatched to a home on the 3300 block of Cecil Avenue for a burglary in progress. Two male subjects, dressed in black business suits, forced entry into the residence and stole various items from the residence. The subjects were located nearby in possession of stolen property from the residence. Both subjects were arrested and booked into County jail.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 500 El Camino Real
A Santa Clara University Security Officer reported a transient adult male sleeping in a storage room inside Bannan Hall. A Records check revealed the subject had a warrant for second degree robbery out of San Jose with a bail amount of $150,000. He was arrested without incident and transported to the County jail.

Driving Under the Influence
Location: Benton Street and Kiely Boulevard
A male suspect was stopped for failing to stop at a red traffic signal at the intersection of Benton Street and Kiely Boulevard. The suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was unable to successfully perform field sobriety tests. A Records check revealed he had two prior DUI convictions within the past ten years. He was arrested and booked into County jail.

Grand Theft
Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard
Between 2025 and 2115 hours, a vandalism and theft from a vehicle incident occurred in a parking lot on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard. The victim estimated the total value of property taken to be about $1,940. The suspect fled the scene and remains outstanding.

NOTE: Four other car thefts took place on the north side of Santa Clara during the swing shift (Towneplace Suites at 2877 Lakeside Drive, two in the Safeway parking lot at 3970 Rivermark Parkway, Tomatina’s Restaurant at 3127 Mission College Bouelvard). All of the incidents involved electronics left visible to a passerby in a locked vehicle. SCPD would like to remind you to remove visible items from your vehicle to reduce your risk of being a target.

Traffic Accident / Minor Injury
Location: Homestead Road and Las Palmas Drive
Officers responded to a report of an injury accident involving a juvenile. It was determined the suspect ran a red light before colliding with the 16 year old juvenile who was riding his bicycle. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Driving Under the Influence
Location: 400 Block of Saratoga Avenue
An officer observed the female subject driving southbound on Los Padres Boulevard. The subject made a right turn onto Forbes Avenue, driving westbound on the wrong side of the road. The officer was driving eastbound on Forbes Avenue. The subject was driving directly at the patrol vehicle, swerved back to the right side of the road and nearly collided with the patrol vehicle.

The subject showed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication She was arrested and transported to the County jail. A Records check revealed the subject had one prior offense for driving under the influence.
