Portage-Yesterday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m, a Portage Man was arrested for one count of Child Pornography, a Class D Felony after a month long investigation.
The Indiana State Police Crime Against Children units along with Lowell State Police Detectives, Indiana State Police K-9 unit, the Indiana State Police Mobile Forensic Laboratory and Portage Police Department served a state search warrant on computers used by Samuel Franko Jr. Franko, 38 years old, lives at 428 Bronze Street in Portage. After further investigation, it was determined that he was allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography. Franko was arrested at his residence.
Franko was transported to Porter County Jail. The investigation is continuing and other charges may be forth coming.
