Personal Injury Accident

The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two car crash that occurred on South Greenville Road north of Colby Road in Montcalm Township. The crash occurred at approximately 1:06 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014.

The investigation revealed that a northbound 1999 Dodge Durango driven by a sixty-seven year old Belding woman failed to yield to oncoming traffic as she attempted a left turn into a private drive. A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a seventy-four old Stanton man was traveling southbound on Greenville Road and struck the Dodge Durango. A forty-seven year old Stanton man was a passenger in the Chevrolet Silverado.

All the parties involved were transported to United Memorial Hospital in Greenville by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services with non-life threatening injuries.

Everyone was wearing their seat belts and speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The Belding woman was cited for failure to yield right of way.

The Montcalm Township Fire Department assisted at the crash site.
