Burn Ban in Effect
The Wisconsin DNR has put a burn ban into effect. For further details please visit the DNR’s website at: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/forestfire/restrictions.asp

A few quick points for all burning:
1. Fires must be attended at all times
2. Must have a method of first aid fire control readily available
3. Cannot create a nuisance to neighbors/traffic
In the City:
1. No open burning without a written permit
2. Fires in burn pits (man-made or store bought) must be covered with a screen/cover
3. No burning brush/leaves/yard waste
In the Towns:
1. Must call in for a burning permit and leave a message each day
2. Bristol’s open burn weekends this spring are April 10-13, April 24-27, May 8-11, and May 22-25
