UPDATE: On April 5, 2014, the Norton Shores Police Department requested assistance from the public to identify two females suspected of shoplifting from Kohl’s, 5695 Harvey St, on March 26, 2014. Within minutes of the release on social media, tips began to flow into the Department and Silent Observer. Based on these tips, the suspects were quickly identified.

Officer Jared Passchier was able to locate Suspect #1 and interviewed her within an hour of the release. Suspect #2 was interviewed on a later date. The suspect vehicle was also located. Much of the stolen property has been located and is currently being held as evidence. Based on his investigation, sufficient probable cause was established in order to request criminal warrants for both suspects for Retail Fraud.
