Huntsville, Alabama (April 10, 2014) On April 4, 2014, the offender, Joseph Patrick Garrison, W/M, DOB 7/16/87, of Huntsville, was involved in two separate incidents, a residential robbery and a residential burglary. During the burglary, there was a confrontation with the homeowner and the offender; the homeowner fired one round striking the offender in the chest. The offender fled the scene and was quickly apprehended by Madison County Deputies. The offender was then transported to Huntsville Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Upon release from the hospital on April 9, 2014, he was arrested and charged with 1 count of Robbery 1st degree for the incident at the 1800 Block of Chapman Ave. and 1 count of Burglary 2nd degree for the incident at the 2400 Block of Dairy Lane.
Garrison is currently in the Madison County Metro Jail held on a total bond amount of $80,000.
