“OPERATION TAKEBACK”


Chief Christopher Campbell and the Haworth Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting Operation Takeback, which will take place on Saturday April 26, 2014 between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. The drug collection boxes will be located at the Haworth Police Station. All identification labels should be removed from the medications. All participants in the program will remain anonymous. The goal of the program is to allow the residents of Haworth to rid their homes of unused, unwanted, or expired medications by turning these medications in to law enforcement officials who will dispose of the substances in a safe and non-hazardous manner, preventing these pills from falling into the hands of juveniles or into the wrong hands. No liquid medications or any type of syringes/sharps will be accepted.
