Abandoned Deceased Baby

On April 8, 2014 at approximately 5:20pm, Corona Police Officers responded to Kaiser Hospital Riverside in reference to an injured woman. When officers arrived, medical personnel advised them that a 24 year old woman from Corona may have recently given birth, but there was no baby.

After further investigation, it was determined that the woman had given birth in the early morning hours of April 8, 2014. The woman stated that she believed the baby to be deceased at birth and she disposed of the baby in a trash receptacle near the 600 Blk. of Stoneybrook Ln., in Corona. Corona Police Detectives found a deceased female baby in a trash receptacle in the area described by the woman. The cause of death and any potential criminal charges are pending an autopsy by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
