Mid Week Blotter April 1 - April 3

April 1st

Warrant Arrest- 5020 El Cerrito Plaza
At 0928 hours, an officer arrested a 49 year-old homeless man for an outstanding arrest warrant. The man was transported directly to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest- Potrero Ave. at South 55th St.
At 1620 hours, an officer arrested a 54 year-old man for an outstanding parole violation warrant during a pedestrian contact. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest- 11575 San Pablo Ave.
At 1638 hours, an officer arrested a 41 year-old man from San Francisco on two outstanding arrest warrants. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Outside Agency Assist- Kensington
During the afternoon hours, an ECPD evidence technician responded to Kensington to assist their district police with processing a scene for evidence. The officers collected evidence and then turned the items over to the KPD.

Public intoxication – San Pablo Ave. / Waldo Ave.
At approximately 2005 hours, officers were dispatched to Baskin Robbins after an intoxicated male was bothering customers. Officers located and arrested a 38-year-old transient man for public intoxication. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

14-6291 11-81 – San Pablo Ave. / Waldo Ave.
At approximately 2119 hours, officers were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Officers arrived and found that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle while crossing San Pablo Ave. The pedestrian suffered a concussion and a shoulder injury which led to him being transported via helicopter to John Muir Hospital.

April 2nd

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- San Pablo Ave. at Potrero Ave.
At 1413 hours, an officer arrested a 24 year-old man from Washington for being in possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. The man was booked at the ECPD and then released with a citation.

Warrant Arrest- Conlon Ave. at Kearney St-
At 1134 hours, an officer arrested a 60 year-old homeless man on an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Miscellaneous-1600 Block of Arlington Blvd.
At 1700 hours, officers provided traffic control to allow for city workers to remove a tree which had fallen from the golf course onto the north and southbound lanes of Arlington Blvd.

April 3rd

Burglary-2500 Block of Arlington Blvd.
An unknown suspect forced entry into a residence which was under construction and stole over ten thousand dollars worth of tools. The theft took place between 04/02 at 2030 hours and 04/03 at 0700 hours.

Burglary-1700 Block of Julian Ct.
An unknown suspect forced entry into a residence which was under construction and stole two thousand dollars worth of tools. The theft took placed between 04/02 at 1530 hours and 04/03 at 0700 hours.

Trespassing- 11565 San Pablo Ave., Walgreens
At 1639 hours, officers were dispatched to Walgreens to contact an unwanted person. Officers arrived on scene and arrested a 26 year-old man from Pittsburg for trespassing. The man was booked at the ECPD and then released with a citation.

Battery – Carlson Blvd. / Central Ave.
At approximately 1811 hours, an unknown suspect kicked the victim in the ankle before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as a black female adult, 30-40 years old, black puffy jacket, black beanie, short hair.
