On Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 9:25 PM, deputy personnel from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station responded to the 5100 block of Garrett Court, Calabasas, regarding private security personnel detaining a possible burglary suspect at the residence.

The resident arrived home with friends when she heard a noise. She called security and while waiting for security to arrive, the suspect knocked on a door of the residence. The door was opened by a friend and the suspect asked for the resident of the home. The friend then closed the door. When security arrived, a search of the property was conducted. The suspect was located inside a guesthouse and detained by security, pending arrival of deputy personnel.

The investigation revealed that the suspect forced entry into the guesthouse. The suspect has been identified as 20 year-old Cruz Che, a transient. He was arrested for felony Burglary, booked at Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and is being held in lieu of $50,000.
