(UPDATE) Stabbing Death Investigation, 900 block of Palm Avenue, West Hollywood, #LASD Homicide Bureau

VICTIM: Asian male, adult

SUSPECT: African-American male, adult

Narrative:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man which occurred on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

Detective have learned that Deputies from West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to an apartment complex, in the 900 block of Palm Avenue, to conduct a welfare check on an individual who lived at the location.

Upon their arrival, the deputies were informed that the individual who lived at the location may have killed his roommate and was thinking about killing himself. After no response in the apartment, the deputies forced entry and discovered the victim, Asian-male adult, on the kitchen floor, with apparent stab wounds. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead.

The deputies located and detained the suspect, an African-American-male adult, hiding in a bathroom. The suspect appeared to have taken a large amount of pills and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation, prior to booking.

Preliminary information indicated that the suspect and the victim were in an intimate relationship and were living together at the location.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult, in the 900 block of Palm Avenue, West Hollywood.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, a male adult, was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for injuries.

There is no additional information at this time.
