Monterey Park Police Department Traffic Bureau Honored With Centurion Award for Excellence in Traffic Enforcement 
The Monterey Park Police Department Traffic Bureau received the Centurion Award from the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC) for Excellence in Traffic Enforcement at POALAC's annual awards and installation banquet on Thursday, March 27, 2014. The MPPD Traffic Bureau was selected for the award due to it addressing major traffic safety problems in the City, continuous community outreach and participation, and work with multi-jurisdictional task forces. The Officers in the unit were cited for their continued excellence and dedication to keeping the roads safe through community involvement, education, and enforcement. Congratulations to the members of the MPPD Traffic Bureau.
