Menlo Park PD Officers arrested two subjects for conspiracy, attempted burglary and burglary - Case #14-939

On March 26th, 2014, at approximately 10:32 am, an alert Menlo Park resident in the 300 block of Central Avenue contacted the Menlo Park Police Department and reported seeing several suspicious subjects he did not recognize walking down the driveway of his neighbor’s house. The resident then observed the same two subjects run back down the driveway and then westbound on Central Ave. towards Pope St.

Menlo Park Police Officers immediately responded to the area where they made contact with another resident who reported that a subject attempted to forcibly gain access to her residence through a rear door. That resident told officers that the subject fled upon hearing her verbally confronting him through the closed door. Officers conducted an extensive search of the area and ultimately located and detained two subjects matching the descriptions given by the two residents. Officers also found a bag in the bushes that was determined to contain stolen property from a residence on the 300 block of Laurel Avenue.

Robert Clark (9/7/91) and James McGee (3/20/91), both out of Redwood City, were both positively identified as the suspects seen at the victim’s residence. They were arrested and booked into County Jail for Conspiracy, Burglary, and Attempted Burglary. Clark was also booked on a Parole Violation Hold.
