Message from Department of Public Works Superintendent Todd Schiller:
Effective March 20th, 2014
All water utility customers can stop running a continuous stream of water to help prevent pipes from freezing.
The Genoa City water utility would like to thank our customers who followed the recommendation to run their water. This measure was intended to reduce the number of expensive thawing operations, and is believed to have resulted in a better economic solution. Meter reading will take place this week and the utility bills for the first quarter of 2014 will be adjusted to account for the additional water consumption.
