Please be advised there has been a recent increase in thefts of air conditioning units from residential areas. Most specifically, the suspect(s) have recently taken units from area apartment complexes. Suspicious individuals have been seen in the area and they have even announced their presence to residents. Suspects claim that they have been hired by the apartment complex to replace the outside A/C unit. They remove the old unit and leave the area. If you see suspicious individuals in your neighborhood and you suspect they may be up to criminal activity, please call 911 to have an officer respond.
