The Upper Macungie Township Police Department has an important message for you! *Residential Burglaries*

*Corrected second burglary date: February 21st, 2014


The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is currently investigating a series of residential burglaries that have occurred within a short distance (several miles) of one another.

1. On January 29th, 2014 a resident reported a burglary at his home on High Saddle Lane. This occurred between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. The suspect(s) forced a window to the rear of the home and then made entry. The home was partially ransacked. Items were then removed from the home.

2. On February 21st, 2014 a resident reported a burglary at his home on Robert Drive. This occurred between 7:30 pm and 1:00 am. Like the first burglary, the suspect(s) forced a window to the rear of the home and then made entry. The interior of the home was also partially ransacked and numerous valuable items removed.

3. On March 7th, 2014 a resident reported a burglary at his home on Doris Drive. This occurred between 7:00 pm and midnight. This burglary also involved a forced entry to the rear of home (window), ransacking, and items stolen.

4. On March 12, 2014 a resident reported a burglary at this home on Lone Pond Lane. This occurred between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm. Forced entry was made through a rear door in the home. The home was then ransacked and items were removed.

*Please note that the involved homes were unoccupied during the burglaries and no injuries have been reported.

The Upper Macungie Township Police Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating these crimes. Residents are asked to remain vigilant and to immediately report suspicious activity, people, or vehicles to police (non-emergency 610-437-5252, emergency 911). If you believe you are witnessing a crime in progress, immediately call 911 and be the best witness possible. Document suspect and vehicle descriptions, license plate numbers, etc.
