The Yolo County Bomb Squad, the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be conducting a range demonstration Wednesday at the firing range along Pole Line Road north of the Davis city limits.
The demonstration is part of a two-day arson and explosives course for prosecutors. Depending on the weather conditions, such as cloud cover or clear skies and the wind direction, people may hear small explosions just before the noon hour. In the afternoon, there could be small amounts of smoke visible in the area.
Appropriate emergency response personnel will be on-site during the entire class, and there will be no public viewing or access during this training. The nearby go-cart track will be closed that day and paintball operations will have limited access.
