On March 7th, at about 2:40 am, a man entered the 7 Eleven on 3777 Lafayette St. armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk handed over the money and the man fled from the store. The store clerk was not harmed and Officers were able to review the video surveillance footage of the robbery and created a wanted bulletin. That same morning at around 10:00 am, an Officer stopped a man in the 3600 block of Haig St., that looked like the man from the wanted bulletin. The man was identified as Tevita Lomu, a 30-year-old resident of Santa Clara. Officers concluded that Lomu was responsible for the armed robbery at the 7 Eleven. During his arrest, Lomu struggled with Officers, but he was eventually taken into custody and booked into County Jail.
