Thinking about a career in law enforcement? The Ontario Police Department has an excellent opportunity for actively enrolled college students interested in a law enforcement career.

As a Police Cadet you will receive hands on experience with a variety of law enforcement and administrative functions under the supervision of sworn and professional staff. Cadets typically perform routine clerical and technical support duties.

The position requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent at time of appointment (hire); current enrollment in at least 2 courses, equivalent to 6 semester or 8 quarter units at an accredited college or university, and maintenance of a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Length of employment in this classification is limited to 5 years or until the completion of a BA/BS degree at the discretion of the department. A valid California Class C Drivers’ License is required.
