Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Team (MAGNET) arrests armed gang member wanted on parole

On 2/27/2014, at 815 P.M., Members of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Team (MAGNET) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle violations in the area of Coffey Lane at Sansone Drive in Santa Rosa.

As the deputy contacted the three occupants in the vehicle a dialogue between the deputy and occupants ensued, at which time the deputy smelled a distinct and strong order of marijuana from inside the vehicle.

As the conversation between the deputy and occupants continued, it was mentioned that one of the passengers had smoked marijuana in the vehicle earlier and that none of the three in the vehicle had a medical recommendation to possess or use marijuana.
The deputy advised the occupants, he was going to systematically have them get out of the vehicle to further investigate the situation.
A passenger in the front seat, identified as Dante Salvadori, initially refused to exit the vehicle, so he was handcuffed, while seated in the front passenger compartment.

Ultimately, Salvadori was removed from the vehicle and walked back to a patrol vehicle. As Salvadori was being escorted by a deputy to the patrol vehicle, the deputy observed a gun in Salvadori’s waistband. The gun was immediately removed and secured.
After all three occupants had been removed from the vehicle they were detained while a search of their person and the vehicle was conducted.

The search netted marijuana, 36 oxycontin tablets and the semi-automatic handgun taken from Salvadori.
In addition to “on-view” charges a records search on Salvadori revealed that he was a wanted “Parolee at Large.”
The vehicle, its driver and second passenger, which was a juvenile, were released at the scene.

Dante Keith Salvadori, is a 20 year old, white male that was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of obstruction and resisting of a peace officer, possession of a controlled narcotic substance, possession/purchase for sale of a narcotic/controlled substance, felon addict in possession of a firearm, carrying of a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying of a concealed weapon while engaged in criminal conduct, carrying loaded firearm in public, violation of parole terms and the outstanding warrant for a wanted “Parolee at Large.”
Salvadori’s current bail status is “no-bail.”
