Several Town Events coming up in the next two weeks. See Town Website for details.

There are several events of note coming up, please mark them in your calendar-

1. There will be a free Chili, Chowder and Biscuit dinner at the Center Fire Station on March 1 from 4-7 pm. It will also give you chance to look over the station and ask any questions about the facility. Chief Marshall will also be at the police station for anyone that wants to take a look at that facility and ask questions prior to Town Meeting and the bond vote. It is important that whether you support the bond or not, you have the correct information to make an informed vote.

2. After the supper there will be a Meet the Candidates Night at Town Hall. There is a contested race, so here is an opportunity again to get information to make an informed vote at Town Meeting.

3. The spring weight postings will be in place starting February 28th. No vehicle weighing more than 6 tons (12000 pounds) will be allowed on any town road. Utility vehicles (oil & propane, electric) are exempt. Construction vehicles, delivery trucks such as: water; Schwann's; building supplies; etc.; tour buses and other similar vehicles are included. The Washington Police will enforce this rule strictly to protect our roads and prevent DPW from having to do costly repairs. Contact the DPW Director at [email protected] or 603-495-3641 for any questions or waiver requests.

4. Town Meeting will be held on March 11 starting at 9 am at Camp Morgan Lodge. In addition to town elections, there are several important items on the warrant: 2 bonds; the general budget, equipment and process matters.

5. Washington Snow Riders Member/landowner appreciation dance 7:30-11:30 pm at Camp Morgan Lodge. Admission is free- donations are appreciated.
