Assaulted with a deadly weapon 
On February 23, 2014 at 12:15 a.m. Morgan Hill Police responded to the 90 block of Bisceglia Ave and located an adult male who had been struck in the face and the head with a shovel. The victim a 30 year old male from San Jose was transported to San Jose Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A canvass of the neighborhood was conducted and a witness provided pivotal information leading to the arrest of 24 year old Juan Martinez from Morgan Hill who was hiding on the roof of the residence. During the investigation it was determined the victim and Martinez got into a physical altercation after a night of heavy drinking.
Martinez was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on assault with a deadly weapon.
