Barstow man arrested for possession of narcotics. 
On Thursday, February 13, 2014, deputies and detectives from the Barstow Sheriff's Station and San Bernardino County Probation Department conducted an investigation regarding the sales of narcotics in the 600 block of East Virginia Way in Barstow. With the assistance of Probation's K-9 trained in drug detection, investigators located narcotics believed to be heroin and cash. Thirty-six year old, Fernando Avila was arrested and booked on narcotic charges.
