Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operation taking place on Feb 19th. 
On February 19, 2014, Officers and a Police Service Volunteer from the ECPD will conduct a Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operation, focusing on motorists who fail to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians walking within marked crosswalks as required by law.
These operations are an effort to reduce and prevent
the occurrence of vehicle-versus-pedestrian related collisions and to make our roadways and community safer. We also remind drivers that motorists are required by law to yield the right-of way to pedestrians walking within marked crosswalks.
