Use caution and be alert when walking on the walking trail.

Earlier this evening a male pedestrian walking on the walking trail was struck from behind by an unknown male. The incident occurred near the Schnell School Road overcrossing. The suspect was described as a white male adult, between 25-35 years old. He was wearing an unknown color baseball cap with the letters "FBC" across the front, a green jacket and carrying a black backpack. The Placerville Police Department is asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspect. This is the first incident of this kind we have had reported to us from the walking trail.

As a reminder, when walking the trail always use caution and be alert. It's always a good idea to walk during day light hours and with a partner. If you have any information regarding this incident please call the Placerville Police Department dispatch at (530) 642-5280.
