Winter Weather Advisory in Effect!

Forecasts are again pointing to a significant winter storm that will impact all of New Jersey. Snow is expected to begin falling on late Wednesday/early Thursday morning and throughout Thursday, with possible mixed precipitation and rain in some warmer, coastal locations. This has the possibility of being a significant weather event that will effect our area. Heavy, wet snow may result in downed tree limbs and power lines, and hazardous driving conditions. Please take the proper precautions prior to, during and after the storm including:

Trees, Limbs, Power and Gas lines:
• Downed power lines or exposed gas lines must be cordoned off but not approached. The proper utility company should be contacted to address any utility line hazard.
• Trees and tree limbs have been damaged by the recent storms and may be prone to failure from this weather event. Anyone outdoors should take care to reduce the chance of injury from falling branches and downed power lines.

• Heavy wet snow may accumulate on roof tops already laden with ice and snow. If possible, roof tops should be cleared safely to avoid overloading of the roof support structures that may lead to collapse. NOTE: This should only be done if it can be done safely without risk to home owners.

Projected snow totals for this storm: 8” – 14” of accumulation.
