On 02/09/14, at approximately 11:20 pm, the Davis Police Department received a call from the 1200 block of Halifax reporting that the victim’s vehicle had been recently stolen. As officers were responding to the area, they located the vehicle traveling on W. Covell Blvd. The vehicle traveled north towards Woodland where it was eventually stopped near the intersection of CR 99 and CR 25A. Officers detained and eventually arrested two 16 year old male juveniles from Woodland. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and driving without a license. Additional property belonging to another victim of theft was located inside the stolen vehicle. The second juvenile was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and petty theft. The driver was booked into Yolo County Juvenile Hall while the passenger was cited and released to an adult.

The Davis Police Department would like to urge all of its residents and visitors to be vigilant in locking their vehicles and removing personal property from within the vehicle, especially the vehicle keys.
