GAS SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS in area of McKinley School due to water in gas mains. See web/email message for more info.

Chief David C. Wayman of the Westfield Police Department advises Elizabethtown Gas is reporting that water is present in the gas lines which service residences in the area of McKinley School.

Streets with affected service may include the following:

- First Street
- Hazel Avenue
- Hyslip Avenue
- Osborne Avenue
- Pierson Street
- West Broad Street

The water in the gas lines is causing a disruption in service to the affected residences. This does not pose an immediate danger.

Representatives from Elizabethtown Gas are surveying residences in the area to determine the extent of the problem.

The Westfield Police and Fire Departments are aware of the problem and are working with Elizabethtown Gas to resolve the issue.
