Winter Weather Advisory

Weather Forecast Timeline Tues Evening - FEB. 4, 2014:
-Chance of light snow late this evening before midnight -Couple tenths of an inch snow accumulation before midnight -Temps Mid 20's -Heaviest precipitation expected after midnight through Wednesday morning -Initially light - moderate snow -Snow can be heavy at times (1-2 inches per hr) -Reducing visibility down to ¼ - ½ mile -Very wet, heavy snow -Precip will begin to transition from south to north during the early Wed morning hours (4 am – 11 am) -Freezing rain/snow/sleet mix 6-8 am
Snow Totals Midnight – 6am - NE NJ: 3-5 inches Ice Totals Midnight – 6am - NE NJ: T – 0.10 inches
-Very wet, heavy snow combined with ice and snow from Monday’s storm -Temps will remain around freezing during the day, dropping into the 20s at night so not expecting the snow/ice to melt away quickly -Hazardous/icy road conditions especially with ice on top of snow, will impact both AM and PM rush hours -Threat of falling tree limbs/power lines -Potential for numerous power outages -Prepare now
