Male arrested in attempted burglary to Johnson Bank, 318 South Washington Street. See website for additional

Green Bay Police have arrested a male on several felony charges for an incident that occurred overnight at the Johnson Bank at 318 South Washington.
At around 6:00 a.m. employees from Johnson Bank arrived at work and discovered damage in the foyer of the bank and damage to an ATM in the foyer. Officers responded and collected evidence and reviewed the surveillance tape. A male was observed on the surveillance video damaging the property and attempting to get into the ATM. No money was taken from the ATM. It appeared the male was using only his hands to try and break into the machine.
As officers were investigating this incident there was a call for a male disturbing and damaging property in the lobby of Quality Inn and Suites at 321 South Washington Street, across the street from the bank. Officers located the male at the hotel who said he was homeless and looking for money to get a car and get out of town. He did have minor injuries to his hands. The male was confirmed to be the person on the bank surveillance video tape. He was arrested and interviewed. The male admitted to the attempted burglary and will be transported to jail on charges of Attempted Burglary, Felony Criminal Damage to Property, and Entry to a Locked Coin Box.

The male is Vincent L. Hassell, a 40 year old male who recently arrived in the area.
