SUNNYVALE, Calif. – On Thursday, Jan. 23, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) Detectives arrested Theodore Lorigo, 42, of San Jose for being a registered sex offender on school property and booked him into the Santa Clara County Jail.
On Jan. 17, DPS received information from the Los Gatos Police Department that in December 2013 Lorigo had walked onto the Sunnyvale Hebrew Day School campus which is monitored by security personnel and cameras. Following positive identification of Lorigo by school employees, Sunnyvale Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for and subsequently arrested Lorigo in San Jose. Lorigo, a registered sex offender since 2001, has been dressing as a female. At the time of his arrest, Lorigo also was in possession of an altered California Identification card. DPS has filed charges against Lorigo with the District Attorney’s Office for false identification and unlawfully entering school grounds in violation of his registration requirements.
