Bicycle registration now available through MPPD. Register today to help us return your bike if it is lost or stolen.

As of January 26, 2014, the Menlo Park Police Department is able to register bicycle information for Menlo Park residents. This system is a free public service that will allow residents to record their bicycle’s identifying information in a secure and private way.

The benefit of this program is that many people do not write down the identifying information for their bicycles; if your bicycle is lost or stolen, we have the information on file to add it to the statewide stolen property database. If your bicycle is located anywhere in the state of California, it can be identified.

There is no cost to the community for this program and the information is stored permanently. Your personal and bicycle information will not be shared with any other businesses.

How to Register your bicycle:
1. Log onto www.menlopark.org to access the City of Menlo Park website.
2. Click on the link labeled City Departments and choose Police
(www.menloparkpolice.org).
3. Once you are directed to the police department website, choose the tab labeled Online Resources.
4. Click Bicycle Registration and please fill out all the fields on the
registration form. All of the information is necessary in order to register
your bicycle.

If you would like to submit a photo of your bicycle, please take an overall photo of it, and a photo of the serial number. Your photos can be emailed with your first and last name and your phone number to [email protected].
